>>>>>>> SUZY BRAVO & THE SOUL REVUE<<<<<<<
(first performance in over a year!)

SB & The Soul Revue Bio:
Set your soul on fire with Suzy Bravo & the Soul Revue!

The Revue joined forces in the summer of 2006 featuring Tacoland necios; Manny Castillo (River City Playboys/Snowbyrd/Cleofus Trujillo) on drums, Roland De La Cruz (Los Mescaleros/Masters of Love) on guitar, Eddie Hernandez (Sexto Sol/Maneaters of Tsavo) on bass, and vocalist Suzy Bravo. About a year later, Paul Ward (The Swindles/Cave Cat Sammy) joined the Revue on drums as well as jalapeno San Anto sax legend, Frank Rodarte and Sexto Sol vocalist/organ player, Sam Villela. The Revue officially disbanded when legendary venue, Salute permanently closed its doors in 2012. However, the band reunites annually to celebrate the legacy of San Anto’s ol’ school soul/funk/blues sound. On New Year’s Eve, catch the current Soul Revue line-up featuring; Thomas Dyer on keys, Juan Miguel Ramos (drums), Eddie Hernandez (bass), Brant Sankey (guitar), Roland De La Cruz (guitar), and Suzy Bravo (vocals) rockin’ it “one more time for the March of Dimes”!

The band’s set list covers hard hitting songs by artists such as; Gladys Knight & the Pips, Wilson Pickett, Rev. Al Green, The Sonics, Freddy Fender, Lyn Collins, James Brown, and songs from recently departed soul queen, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings.

In 2007, the band was featured on the cover of “S.A. CURRENT” as well as voted as “Best Tribute To a Recently Deceased Artist” for their electrifying SUPER BAD JAMES BROWN tribute shows. In 2011, “ACTION MAGAZINE” editor Sam Kindrick wrote, “Suzy’s voice is deep, soulful, and plenty loud, and she does James Brown like a female “Godfather of Soul” if there ever was one.”

will be spinning oldies soul & funk vinyl….
featuring Dj’s Rambo Salinas & Hector Gallegos

Alamo City Soul Club Bio:
“Alamo City Soul Club Started in 2011 by Rambo Salinas, Jeff Blaggard , and Alex LaRotta. It was created to help give a place in San Antonio to hear real vinyl records dedicated to chicano soul, blues and R&B from the 60s and 70s.

After a 6 month stint creating the soul club Rambo moved back to Minneapolis, and Jeff and Alex were at the helm. Alex would soon move to Houston,Tx to help with the Fistful Of Soul night and Jeff would move to Oakland.

Within the 2 years and few months on hiatus Rambo has returned and has brought new members into the mix to help give a resurgence to the soul scene in San Anto. We welcome Hector Gallegos and Dj Plata to Alamo City Soul Club with open arms. We also hope to bring San Anto new guest djs and even more new records to help get the dancefloor burning.”
