San Antonio’s first indoor cycling studio, JoyRide Cycling Studio, will officially open to the public this Monday, August 25, at THE MOSAIC on Broadway. Brought to San Antonio by local residents Becky and Joe Cerroni, JoyRide is a 50-minute, high-energy, interval-based class where riders can burn between 600-800 calories while improving both mental and physical fitness.

To celebrate the grand opening, JoyRide will offer a week of free community rides from August 25 to August 29, and will begin its full schedule of paid rides on Monday, September 1. This Friday, August 22, riders can view the first week’s schedule and reserve bikes on JoyRide’s website for as many of the free community rides that they would like to take on.

“We are thrilled to bring the JOY experience to San Antonio,” says Owner Becky Cerroni. “The past several months have been quite a ride: from making the decision to bring JoyRide to San Antonio to meeting and creating a family with our instructors to designing the most joyful studio! We are inspired every day by the team of people that have helped to bring JoyRide to our city. Between the intensive training our instructors have gone through to finalizing the beautiful space with our team, we are so honored and humbled to share JoyRide with our riders.”

JoyRide’s classes combine core elements of Pilates and indoor cycling to maximize cardiovascular benefits and burn calories and fat. Enthusiastic riders infuse classes with energy, taking the ride from “just exercise” to an endorphin-surged and challenging workout set to heart-pounding and ever-changing playlists. This high-energy, calorie-torching, full-body workout will be a game-changer to keeping San Antonio fit.

JoyRide is known for its premier group indoor cycling classes led by expert and enthusiastic instructors specially trained in the exclusive JoyRide method. The JoyRide instructor team features the best in San Antonio, beginning with lead instructor Kelly Middleton, who has years of experience teaching indoor cycling in Dallas and brings that experience to San Antonio at JoyRide. The Cerronis also recruited seven additional expert instructors to bring JoyRide to life.

“Our studio is very community focused; but when you’re on the bike, it’s just you and your mind, your goals, and your workout,” says Lead Instructor Kelly Middleton. “Our instructors coach you to mentally tap into your own power, establish that mind/body connection, and push yourself beyond your limits and expectations. Once you take that final stretch and finish the class, you’re back to the community of JoyRide that is truly the most joyful and positive part of your day. Workouts are physical, but success is mental. We’re here to literally bring you JOY and coach you to unleash your mental and physical power. Come see for yourself why it’s MY happy place!”

Constructed by local architect Davis Sprinkle, the 1,600-square-foot, state-of-the-art indoor cycling studio marks the first JoyRide Cycling Studio outside of Connecticut. The studio is outfitted with thirty-six of the newest bikes and a high-end sound system. It also features a mural by local artist Cruz Ortiz in the lobby.

JoyRide San Antonio is located at 1915 Broadway in The MOSAIC on Broadway. JoyRide will be open six days a week and will offer classes starting at 5:30 a.m. for the early risers and commuters, followed by consecutive classes through 1 p.m. They will reopen mid-afternoon for teen and tween classes, followed by evening classes.
