A beautiful space that houses mouthwatering food and custom brews is the best way to describe Southerleigh, a new restaurant that is brewing its own beer on the premises in the old Pearl building which is now open to much excitement and anticipation. Their motto of “May our paths cross” is evident in the varied selections of tasty starters, boilers (fresh and boiled seafood), hearty main courses, sides and delectable desserts and in the assortment of beers. Starting off with a beer sampler is the best way to try four of the 10 house made beers that they will eventually have on tap, they also have guest taps coming soon and a red and white wine by the glass. We recommend trying the deviled eggs with bacon and onion marmalade, crispy pork cutlets with brown butter and lemon and herb chanterelles and peanut chocolate bar with salted caramel ice cream with peanuts for dessert. Southerleigh has bar seating in front of their tap wall and also bar seating to view their open kitchen. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was warm and inviting with music that lets you hear your dinner partner while enjoying a nice meal and drink.

Owner and executive chef Jeff Balfour is excited to announce the official opening of Southerleigh Fine Food and Brewery TODAY! As the tenth largest brewpub in the country, Southerleigh will bring a modern take on Texas’ cross-cultural cuisine to Pearl starting with dinner service daily beginning at 6:00 p.m.

The team at the helm of Southerleigh includes Chef Balfour, who brings his nineteen years of culinary experience to Pearl, along with General Manager Philippe Place, who most recently assisted in the grand opening of Sustenio at Hotel Eilan Resort and Spa.

Southerleigh will offer dinner daily from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and the bar will be open daily from 5:00 p.m. to midnight. Southerleigh will be located on the ground floor in the historic Pearl brewhouse at 136 East Grayson, Suite 120.
