Obession The Kiss EP

Two songs, two immersions. Two erotic explorations, one mood. Mysterious local bedroom-electro project Obsession brings the heat and the humidity on these tender, computer-jungled, body tempo motions in static. The measured and cavernous fuzz-pulses here leave plenty open space for exploring your most endless desires and stultifying fears. The more vast the listener, the more vast the experience.
No word yet on whether this tiny EP precedes an album — but if so we can only hope it’s filled with songs this hedonistically hypnotizing, this candlelit mechanical. More is perhaps all we can ask.

Tuk Tuk Taproom - Asian Street Fare and Craft Beer

Puro Pinche Stoked for this new eatery!
Who is opening this magical place?
A celebrated collision of James Beard Foundation nominated Chef David
Gilbert and “Beard” Steve Newman. Chef Gilbert is the author of “Kitchen
Vagabond” and the recipient of the national Rising Star Chef Award for his
unique and sensory driven approach to food. He’s lived, worked and
traveled extensively through Southeast Asia, learning the customs and
authentic cuisine from some of the most exotic reaches from this part of
the world. Gilbert honed his skills in highly demanding and cutthroat
kitchens from Europe to Asia. Most recently, Chef Gilbert collaborated with
close friend Stephan Pyles and helmed the state-of-the-art kitchen at
Sustenio inside Hotel Eilan Resort and Spa.
For your palatable pleasure, his world will be colliding into that of Beard
Steve Newman, leader of all things craft beer in south Texas. Steve is the
force behind The Newman Project which designs, builds and manages top
of the line tap systems. Steve and wife, Jody Newman own and operate
craft beer monster The Friendly Spot Ice House and urban food truck park
Alamo Street Eat Bar. Steve Newman will be designing and building the tap
system at Tuk Tuk Taproom. Expect 60 taps pouring beer and nonalcoholic
offerings to be paired with Gilbert’s authentic Asian street fare.
Wait, what are they serving?
The two culprits involved are bringing you the freshest and most flavorful
Southeast Asian cuisine to ever hit the city. Gilbert and Newman have been
“hard at work” eating and drinking to ensure they have the perfect
pairings for your experience. Tuk Tuk will naturally have the hard to
obtain beers and at a cozy little spot just north of downtown San Antonio,
across from the Pearl Brewery.
Location:
1702 Broadway, is located directly across the street from the main
entrance to the Pearl Brewery complex. This cutting-edge concept sits in
the heart of San Antonio’s thriving River North neighborhood. With great
pride, we are bringing the first chef-driven Asian food and craft beer
concept to the country. Gilbert and Newman are upping the ante two-fold
by using authentic cooking methods, sourcing the most unique craft beer
and other undisclosed elements that say will be at the unveiling.
When will it open??
As the opening date approaches, follow our social media channels on
Facebook and Twitter for details. We also invite you check out our website
for an in-depth look at what we do and how we do it.
Why are you pairing Asian street fare and BEER!?!
The combination of street food in Asia and beer is the most common food
and beverage pairing amongst the locals across the “eastern creek.” The
Chef’s and The Beard’s passion for the bright, aromatic, and intensely
flavorful delights found in that geography of the world inspired them to
bring their expertise and their respective fields together to create a
concept that has never been done before. Chef Gilbert will design the dishes
that will be skillfully sourced and prepared thoughtfully. His execution of
the seasonal dishes offered is promised to be an experience second to none.
Beard Newman is committed to carefully selecting a rotating beer selection
that can be enjoyed in pure sync with the food his partner-in-flavor
delivers. These men are the culprits; the palettes of the good people of San
Antonio will be the victims. Open your hearts, minds, and mouths to this
labor of love. Coming soon to 1702 Broadway.
