Valentine’s Weekend Roundup

Valentine’s Weekend Roundup

The day for love is right around the corner. Be sure and get your reservations in ASAP and check out these specials going on around town this weekend (and one for the singles on Monday).

  • unnamedGrab that special someone and make a reservation at Ocho for their Valentine’s dinner on Sunday. They’re hosting a three course dinner for $150 per couple. I’m really eyeing that rack of lamb and chocolate mousse. Maybe after dinner you can mosey on down to the bar downstairs for a nightcap. Just keep in mind that you may or may not make it to work on Monday. Seatings are available at 5 and 7 pm and space is limited – please call the Hotel Havana Front Desk at (210) 222-2008 to reserve.

  • I believe it was Shakespeare who said nothing says you love yourself like fried chicken and bubbles. Oh he didn’t say that? Prove it! Anyway, The Old Main Assoc is hosting a buckets and bubbles night on the 13th to celebrate singleness. $29 gets you a bottle of cava (sparkling wine from Spain) and four pieces of fried chicken. Sharing is optional but having fun is not.

  • Treat yourself and/or your boo to a facial this weekend featuring chocolate and coconut from Shine Beautifully. This weekend the facial is only $50 and will leave you with healthy and soft skin. What you do with chocolate and coconut later is up to you and we don’t want to hear about it. Text April to set up your appointment at 210-896-4445

  • Since Valentine’s day this year is on a Sunday you can start your day with some brunch at Southerleigh. They’ll be offering Valentine’s inspired specials and sharing dishes for brunch from 10am-3pm. After brunch take a romantic stroll along the Riverwalk museum reach or hit up the farmer’s market. Nothing says love like fresh vegetables.

  • Whiskey Cake is hosting a Singles Awareness Day on Monday the 15th with a special Featured Cocktail: Foolish Games along with their new $5 Happy Hour Bar Bites. This will be a good way to unwind after a stressful weekend, because valentines is stressful if you’re single or in love, and a good way to shake off the Monday blues. Maybe stop by HEB on your way home and pick up some half off valentines to give yourself too.
